01-11-09 report Adrians Road...

6 of us fished yesterday about 8 miles out from Pine Island. We rented through Bayview Lodge. Fishing was pretty slow, we caught 20-25 and kept 8 or 9. The walleyes were nice 15-18" and the saugers were small. We were in about 34' of water. The best bite seemed to be from noon to 2pm. A plain white glow hook and a chub worked the best. I lost a monster walleye at the hole. Even though fishing was slow, we still had a great time with my wife's son's and their fiances. I'm hoping to make it up in late March for a walleye/northern trip.

We drove out on Adrian's road and rented fishhouses from Bayview. Their houses are nice and we've never had any issues renting from them. The cabins are nice too by the way.

I am heading to Bayview Thur Morn. I have been there a few times and the shacks and cabins are very nice. Others I go with have been going for many years and like the accomodations. The prices are reasonable. We rent 2 cabins and 3 shacks. Last year we had one person his a ice ridge and pop a tire. They were very helpful on getting him help and on his way.

It seems that everytime we go it is cold!

As many of the other dog owners told me the third hunting season is when it comes together for lots of dogs. Finn did much better today and he got to watch a veteran dog again. I am excited to keep getting finn out hunting

We got two ducks. We should had more but it was fun shooting. I need to keep my face on my stock. I had pass on many birds as another group moved in on top of us. I had 5 woodies locked up and I drew a bead and I saw the other guys faces. No shot as i would killed them or wounded them. They knew we there but did not seem to care.

Great job guys!! I got 8 shots off the first one was good then I missed 7 in a row. Gordie got one and well river rat got zero. It was a hoot to hunt with them.

I have a 2018 ice castle with the GS trailer frame. Are you supposed to drill holes to let water out of the tubes or do the new GS trailers have holes in them already? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pike very active with 6-12 feet running crank baits ... also Bass !!   Been using various crank runners some off deeper weed lines 12-15 feet.    Fun trolling and having to stop because the rod was smacked hard 😃     Cret
