Just wondering how the ice is out there for driving a full size truck. I know early on when there was 6-8 inches in most places the middle was still open. I have a wheeler or could walk but I would like to take my 3 1/2 year old out, but won't do that until I can drive and obviously need it to be more than safe to bring him out. Thanks for any info you have!

We were out a week ago,drove out of Ridgewood 12-14in of ice everyplace we drilled.You should be ok.

Heres a tip. For crappies and sunnies

Glow orange, red or pink number 8 demon

use waxies or larva

use a spring bobber

and get jiggy with it.
