Need house rental advice....

Recommended Posts

JEH_FISH

Hey guys. A couple of weeks from now I was thinking of renting a house for myself and some friends for the weekend, as a don't have a permanent out myself yet. There should be 6-8 of us.

I looked at the information page, but thought I'd get some advice which place to call here first. Any of you get a group of guys together and pull a week-ender????? Also any idea what that would cost???

Thanks,

Josh

The gals from the womens forum have been getting togther at Appledorns for the weekend. He has a wide varity of houses for any size group. One of the gals rented the 8 hole premier witch was very nice but the guys would have to share double beds. He has a 22 hole house but that is $1100.00 a weekend. I would check out the site above and see if he has anything that would work, otherwise this last weekend we were is 3 different houses but they were all right next to each other. We then gathered in the largest house for meals. You should be able to find some where that works.

Hope

Check out hunterspointresort.com. I have stayed there several times and had some success. The shacks are very nice and the bar is accommodating if your group is interested in that. Can't guarantee you fish, but you will be comfortable.

As many of the other dog owners told me the third hunting season is when it comes together for lots of dogs. Finn did much better today and he got to watch a veteran dog again. I am excited to keep getting finn out hunting

We got two ducks. We should had more but it was fun shooting. I need to keep my face on my stock. I had pass on many birds as another group moved in on top of us. I had 5 woodies locked up and I drew a bead and I saw the other guys faces. No shot as i would killed them or wounded them. They knew we there but did not seem to care.

Great job guys!! I got 8 shots off the first one was good then I missed 7 in a row. Gordie got one and well river rat got zero. It was a hoot to hunt with them.

I have a 2018 ice castle with the GS trailer frame. Are you supposed to drill holes to let water out of the tubes or do the new GS trailers have holes in them already? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pike very active with 6-12 feet running crank baits ... also Bass !!   Been using various crank runners some off deeper weed lines 12-15 feet.    Fun trolling and having to stop because the rod was smacked hard 😃     Cret
