Curt,fishy,old guide<BR>Can one of you guys answer me a question?<BR>I got a 16'fishing boat with a 25 horse motor. Will this be to small for the pond? I know it can get nasty when the wind comes up.<BR>I was up there 8 years ago and, see how nasty it can get when the wind comes up.Do I have to worry with a small boat? Little Perch,<P>Welcome aboard! <P>I would be a little hesitant to be out on "the big pond" with any sort of wind in a boat like yours. I never fish the big water in the summer, mostly up in the islands in Canada, and even up there on a windy day, a 16'er with a smaller motor would make me nervous, especially in May when the water is less than 40 degrees.<P>On the contrary, on a nice sunny, calm, summer day it's tough to beat a nice open boat like yours. Little Prech,<P><BR>For "in close" fishing a small boat will work. For comfort, speed and safety a bigger<BR>wider boat and bigger motor will get you<BR>around better.<P>You see plenty of 16 footers with 25s and 40s<BR>on em.
