Centerville or Peltier?

Recommended Posts

I'll be fishing these lakes several times in the next couple weeks for northern and bass (after it opens) as some friends and I will be having a little contest on Tuesday, 6/8. All C & R! We can weigh 3 of each species. Any insight on which of the 2 lakes I should consentrate on for size would be great! Seems like Centerville has more pressure and I'm leaning towards focusing on Peltier but would appreciate knowing if I'm onto something or just on something smile.gif I usually troll spinners tipped with plastics until I get the northerns and then switch to plastics for bass. I might also try some raps. If there's a better lure option advice would be great! We can also use live bait.

Thanks in advance! Feel free to e-mail if you'd [email protected]

Troll the breaklines with 3-ways and cranks. This works well for both big pike and walleyes. Also try pitching one of JR's rattle jigs tipped with a fathead or leech just off the weeds, this will be a multi-species approach. I also like to throw a pink head with a chartreuse Ring-n-Grub, always seems to catch a few fish that the other presentations won't. Another option is to toss Beetle Spins, although a little small, they will pick up some walleyes and bass. Good luck!

Good Fishin,

Thanks for the replies! Looks like I'll be heading to Centerville. The event is for a small league and unfortunately a "closed" event frown.gif I'll post results after the event on 6/8.
