2nd choice for bait this weekend?

Fat-heads outproduced the shiners I bought in Baudette about 20 to 1 this last weekend. Don't worry about it, the fat-heads will do the trick for ya.

We fished mainly with shiners last weekend that we purchased in Baudette - they had plenty of them. It was real slow but then again it was a cold front weekend too. <P>My son caught an 8 1/2 pounder on a shiner and a gold Rock n' Roll.<P>But - If all you can get is chubs - fish chubs . I've caught tons of willys there on chubs.

Grabs,<BR>I usually stop at the Bait Shop in Deer River for shiners. He had a bunch two weekends ago. I usually do better on the big shiners might not catch as many but the average size is a lot better. The number for The Bait shop is 218-246-2087.<P>Good fishin'

So LOW experts, what is the bait of choice this time of year. I've called a couple bait stores in the Warroad area and resorts too, everyone is out of shiners. What does everyone turn to as a second choice bait this time of year??<P>I don't even think we will be able to get them down here in the cities.<P>Any suggestions, what else does everyone plan on using this weekend?<P>Thanks in advance!
