Coon Lake crappies

Anyone catching crappies around the channel yet?
I haven't had a chance to get out there for a while, and the water was way too cold last time.
Hoping to get the kids out and fish off shore this weekend...

I've caught a few 2 pounds on occasion, but don't mind catching a bunch of smaller ones when the kids are with. As long as they have fun...

Where is a good shore fishing spot on Coon Lake and how would I get there? I've driven by there a few times when I lived out in Cedar but I never tossed a hook in over there.

According to Vados in Spring Lake Park, the Crappies are going to town all over the lake.

Lots of small ones, but Coon has a reputaion of giving up 3 pound plus Crappies on occasion (this year being no exception)
