Popped this beauty this afternoon. This fish is eating real good .... Tons of baitfish.

Hey Kevin--nice sauger. Hopefully we have some "Native American" summer so there's plenty of nice afternoons left to catch them buggers. I can hold off on ice fishing this year.

Nice sauger Kevin. Looks and sounds like the bite is on. I'm going to try and go in the morning and see if the fishy's wanta play.

are ther any good places to fish off shore for some walleye or sauger any help would be great.

The state record is 24". I'm starting to wonder if ths fish wasn't a saugeye? Anybody see it that way?

Hey Kevin,

Hard to tell exactly with the video, but looking at the frames from 8 to 10 seconds, the fish does appear to have a white tip on its tail.

Well, I had a couple guys at the DNR help me out with an ID. They say it is indeed a sauger.

The state record being just under 6lbs 3oz and going almost 24", I hope this guy keeps growing! I wish I got a weight.
