just wondering if knights or bridges is accessible by truck
i was planning on just hitting it cross country from 16 mile
is that a ridiculous idea?? or is it doable?
i havent been there before so if anyone has coords to either of the islands that would be much appreciated
but mostly i am just looking for your opinion on if it is crazy to drive out there with a truck
or by truck from 16 mile

Snob, there is lots of snow up there so a truck won't get you there. Going from 16 mile would be a bad idea. It is not doable. Snowcats if you have them.

Don't even think about going from 16mile. If you're gonna try, go over and use Adrians road, reports are that the road there goes out about 12 miles so that will get you close. If you're serious though, bring snowmobiles.

Our crew was up there last year about this time on sleds, and the pressure ridges are to big to cross with a pickup, some spots it took 15 minutes to get through because the ice was so choppy, the ridges were 6 to 12 feet high. Just my opinion dont try it!! We are going to be there this weekend on sat. good luck!!
------------------
Where's my crew??

dont forget about the warm weather its probably gonna open up some ridges!!!

Walleyesnob: I would suggest giving Adrians resort a call. He has a road from Wheelers Point over Pine Island to at least 11-12 miles out. I would think he would be able to provide some info to you as to the ice conditions from the end of his road to Knight. Two weeks ago I was out on his road over 10 miles and had not come to the end of it. Good luck and hang on. Bill

Don't even try it with your truck. Go by snowmobile from Adrian's.
