Pelican Lake used to be decent(south of Monticello).

It gets hit by winterkill on occasion, I dont know the current status of the lake. I have caught many big crappies out of there.

I heard Briggs had a few going a week or so ago. I imagine they will go again when the weather stays the same for more than one day in a row. I caught a few runts from shore on Constance a couple weeks ago also. Big lk. itself can be ok once the water warms a touch. The shore along ten is good for a crappie or two. But youv'e got to PROMISE to let everything over 10" go!
