We've got a perminant house on LOW and redrilling the holes is getting old. I seen a inflatable tube that could be put down an ice hole, and when inflated it would keep the hole open until next visit. Anyone know where to get these inflatables? (and do they work?)
Thanks

If you have holes freeze closed while you're there, I've seen something that works.
They make these little battery operated fans that cost little or nothing. Hang one on the ceiling of your shack make like a long air sleeve for it (almost like a wind sock). Hang the sock over your fan and let it hang down the wall and let the other end exit near your hole. It'll blow the hot air off the ceiling of your shack down towards your hole and keep it open. You really only need it when it's REALLY cold or your shack's not well insulated.
As far as for week to week goes, I would be interested if you find anything out about those inflatable tubes too. Banking the [PoorWordUsage] out of your shack with snow really helps alot too.

I've seen this question many times. Although I've never personally seen the devices people usually respond that they can find these at a place called vados, or something like that.
