No, not those females. Anybody else notice that the panfish they are catching this year (on the beds) are all males? I know the females move up a little later, but this has been going on for several weeks. I have only caught and released a few females. Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is, next year try the 3 day before and after the full moon The day of the full Moon tends to be the key with some egg layers.

it's simple. most of the females are and have been in post spawn. I've cought alot of big female crappies with (forgot the word)relaxed "stomachs" (no eggs) in the last few weeks. They have been schooling up on break lines or drop offs! just remember males make the beds, get the females and bring them to the bed, then the girls leave and the males protect the bed. females feed heavy before and after they spawn!!!
