BSL Tips

I am going to BSL this weekend to my wife's uncle's cabin. We end up getting there 1 or 2 times a year. I know this is a big body of water, but we have had very little luck finding panfish for the kids to get into. Anyone have any general tips or areas they would like to share?

We spend a majority of our time driving the ATV, but would like to get into more pan fish.

the most action you will get for the kids will probably be going for perch

im not to sure about the weed growth up there because i have not been up there in a couple weeks but we usually find the perch in the weeds and along the edges of the weeds

Go fish around swimming platforms.

Thanks for the tips guys.... once in the past we went to a small bay where it looked to be a decent spot for panfish. We ended up hooking into a few decent sized perch. Kids had fun....

I will definately try the swimplatform stuff this weekend.

I go up quite a bit and have never really got into the sunnies my geuss would be to find a weed line. Last weekend they were almost poking through. Good luck
