Are there any ice fishing outings this weekend planned on this FM board? Would like to hook up with some FMer's this weekend. Otherwise I will be getting out on Wayzata bay this Sun. Sat looks like the weather is going to be marginal at best.

I'm busy this weekend, but next weekend would work for a FM get together on Tonka. I know Wayzata and Spring Park Bays are probably a little crowded by now. If everyone drives out or parks on the ice Brown's has good structure and guys could fish from horseshoe to brackets point, the reefs and weedlines and everywhere in between. I'm not sure how crowded the excelsior area is, but there is some pretty good structure out that way as well.

Next weekend is the ICE Series event out on Mille Lacs on Saturday Jan. 24. Starts at 8am and goes until 2pm. Then there is the weigh-ins and prize drawings. Only $10 if you sign-up online and $15 at the event. You get brats and other food which is all included. The first ICE Series event was this past weekend on Winni and it was a blast! The Mille Lacs event is going to be awesome as well. For more info check out this link:

This weekend on saturday there is a FM Gathering out on the Horseshoe Chain up near Richmond in Stearns County. This is for catfish, going to be a good time. For more info check out this link:

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me.

I plan on fishing somewhere in the Metro on sunday but I'm not sure where yet. If a group of people are going to meet somewhere maybe we can make a small gathering. So, what are the options?

Good Fishin,
Matt Johnson

I fished the tourney up in Alexandria last weekend, and caught a .41 perch. Hard to believe, but that fella was good enough for 48th place and a new StrikeKing power auger. I'll be out on Karl's Lake or Orchard on Friday, Coon on Saturday and possibly Josephine or Cenaiko on Monday. If anyone is up for fishing on Monday, let me know.

I'll be chasing the often elusive walleye on Tonka this Sunday.

Barely had time and data to post a few random daily pics!  😄   Iffen you’re self banned, how’d ya know? 😉   Sunday - Tuesday hunt near Yankton, SD.  We found ourselves there between two of the big pushes north.  Adults first, pushing the ice line north, slipped through a couple days before we got there and the second juvie push held up by the storm that went through the night we traveled.  Our best day was Monday.  Sunny and warm with a nice south wind.  Day 3 was cool with a stiff northeast wind bringing in another storm.     A select few groups did well with birds coming off Lewis and Clark lake but we weren’t in their path.  We packed up early and hit the road.  We headed north and found them between Brookings and Watertown.  Saw 100’s of thousands at the ice line.

Crazy, about 50 Robin's hit our yard!  Not sure what their eating but none are in any of the neighbors yards around us?  Had to cut video down so it would run.  20250319_175454.mp4
