Anyone find crops in Round Lake (Eden Prairie)?

After fishing there a few times I've had some average luck with the sunnies and gills, but so far the crappies have been elusive. The '00 DNR survey shows a great crappie population for a lake this small as well a good average size.

There was a 5" crop on the ice tonight, presumeably from the person who fished there on tues. I saw them out there at sunset but I couldn't work my lantern so I was out of luck. Why would you waste a small fish like that? Maybe it was gut hooked?

Anyway, anyone fished this lake with any consistency? I spent 2.5 hrs out there tonight and managed only 1 sunnie. I was in the hole straight out from the beachin 24ft of water. FIshed up and down the water table with jig/minnow and then a pimple. ALso used an ant with a waxie and that got lots of attention but only one fish.
