My plans hsve now changed and our party will consist of 10+ people. Everyone wants to do a package deal (lodging and fishouse rental). What resort would you recommend that has good lodging and one that will put us on fish (numbers most important, size second). We'll be coming March 14-16. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Fisherdog
I doubt you'll have much choice - if at all especially with a group that size. I'll be up there the same weekend, booked it in January but I had to call a dozen resorts before I found an opening.
Good Luck!

Try Bay Store Camp in the NW Angle. Been going there for years and have had nothing but the best service. Frank and Laura are Top Notch.

Try Schuesters. We called last week for March 21-23 and had no problem getting in. There are only 4 of us, that may have helped. They are running a special right now. $119.00 2 days fishing and 3 nights. Great deal and they run a class operation.
Latz
[This message has been edited by latz333 (edited 02-27-2003).]

I was with a group of 7 last weekend. We stayed at Riverview. They treated us pretty good. We fished 2 days and caught about 50 eye's and sauger combined. Caught 5 that were over 20". Good times...great people...avereage fishing = a great weekend (although the high temp for the weekend was about -5 below.)
Oh yea..throw in a few beverages
Sunrise lipripper

By the way Baystore is on Oak Island in the Northwest Angle. Its beautiful up there and not nearly as many people. You should get nice eyes and some jumbo perch at that time.
E-mail me at [email protected] if you want Franks e-mail or 800 #.

Fisherdog -
Cyrus has a double occupancy cabin that sleeps 14 with a door connecting both sides that was pretty nice when we stayed there a few weeks ago. We did poorly with the fishing catching tons of 7-8 inch sauger but a few weeks time could make a big difference. Food was good (except salad bar).
Next year we're going back to Sportsman's where they can accomodate big groups well and the food/service is outstanding. (assuming they have availability). Good Luck!

I have stayed at both Ballards and Sportsman and have enjoyed both. I think the Sportsman would be more able to handle a larger group..
