I saw one car out the just north of the channel I think the Ice is not even close to be driveing out the there is maybe 8inchs at best I was fishing straight out from the landing on the south part of the lake and I watched a 4 wheeler drop partcialy in the lake abot 30 yards from shore so I wouldnt recomend driveing on the lake.
I caught maybe 5 fish in about 3 hrs they were all about an hr from sunset

Me and a buddy were out sat morning caught a couple of northerns. Biggest one a little over 3#'s. had a good time but it was cold. we were in the channel. There was maybe 10" or a little better where we were. I would say by Monday or Tuesday it'll be drivable. I would forsure drill a hole or 2 before I did though.

Never been on Coon before? Any Crappie action? What's the size like. Also wondering if any Walleye's roam this body of water?

The crappie action on Coon Lake has been hit or miss lately and finding the slabs can be difficult. Pike are abundant in Coon Lake as are bluegills. Walleyes are very low in number and I wouldn't expect to go out there and catch walleye. Largemouth bass are caught as well. I like to work the breaks just out from the Viking Blvd access on the opposite shoreline on the southeast side. Its basically just down the opposite shoreline from the channel and there is an 8 foot hump that fish will relate to. Or else move out into the 15 foot hole. The far eastern side of the lake is where you will get the best crappie action. The majority of the slab crappies will roam the large 20 foot section of the hole that is adjacent to the 27 foot sliver. There are a few holes just north of the sliver where crappies and gills will relate to. Might have to punch a lot of holes but you can get into them if you find them.

Good Fishin,
