Late model GPS?

Fillet

Question

I have decided I need a GPS for the boat. I want to go with the x27 because of the larger screen and the split frequency. IS there a chance this unit will get discounted at the end of the summer? I have a buddy that got one half price(not the 27 but an older model) at the end of the summer.

I would probably just get a hand held until then. I kind of want one anyways for ice fishing. What do you guys think?

I picked up an x-25 last fall at Cabela's for right around 700.00. I went with that unit for the simple fact it had the blue connectors like my 337, no rewiring for me this year.

And I got to use the 337 for ice fishing this year, works sweet for that purpose too!

If Lowrance is going to release a new model there usually are some deep discount's on the previous model year units in the fall.

Watch the ad's, and check out the web site's like Cabela's bargain cave, you never know what you might find.

Handheld's are a must have for ice season, I have also been known to take it along in the boat so I can check out the difference between the lakemaster and navionics chips on the lake.
