rum river

Anyone ever icefish the rum between anoka and st. francis? I live right next to it in andover, but have never been on it. I saw a portable this week just north of the pleasant street bride in anoka. any info?

Hey, I saw that fish house too. I live right by the Rum in Ramsey and snowmobile on it in the winter. I have never seen anybody out ice fishing, but if you go out be careful, some of those snowmobiliers don't attention to what they are doing. Where are you located?

I fish it a lot in the summer and get some pretty nice smallies out there. There are nice walleyes out there if you can find them as well. Most of the places I fish in the summer are too shallow to fish in the winter. I live in Anoka and fish that point park quite a bit. Never seen icefisherman out there though.

j boo. I live in timber river estates. Hwy 7 and 170th. The kids in the hood go to the river in the spring and get some nice walleyes. Probably should try it sometime.

dewey, I live down river a little from you. I used to fish the river a lot in the summer when I was younger. We caught a lot of nice smallies and a few small walleyes and pike. Haven't been out there for a while though. Let us know if you get out ice fishing and how you do.
