Hey Schaak, it's actually East Bethel. I was out there on monday and didn't get one strike. Must have put tip-ups in 15+ holes for 5 hours. Saw one guy pull a small Lg Bass up but nothing else. I think it was the weather front going through cuz there are plenty northerns out there. Fished the channel and the entrance to the bay on the south west end. Good luck....

Was out on Tuesday and put 6 nice snake eaters from 2-3.5 lbs on the ice... missed another 6 or so...

fished from 1:00 - 4:30...

tip ups with a hook and crappie minnows (believe it or not) in about 7-10'

missed the ones on shinners and suckers then switched to smaller baits and did pretty well...

can you tell me how much ice is on coon?(near the channel)

8" of ice on west side of channel.

Plenty of ATv's and snowmobiles out on the lake and 2 knuckleheads with cars about 80yds off shore.

Northern bite is still strong... was out yesterday... size is small, but bite is often... had to be 60+ people out there yesterday..

a bit of advice... move often and try to get away from the crowd a bit... watch all the tip ups and move reletive to where the flags are popping up...

tip-ups with fatheads on a simple hook seems to be the best bet...
