Went out late yesterday with two buddies and in three hours managed 2 cigar eyes and some small perch between us. Talked to a couple other guys at the landing and their luck was about the same. We got skunked at two of our "automatic" spots.

I've had luck on this lake in the past, but it seems like there is a lot more pressure than in recent years, which could have the (bigger) fish scattered and more difficult to locate.

I should probably mention that the lake is Independence. Sorry about that!

I talked to a few guys who couldn't find the walleyes yesterday. The storm we got on monday night pushed them to a temporary new area. I found crappies off the shallow structure in deeper water. The walleyes have made small moves as well. If you have any inside turns on any points, check those spots for walleyes, they will often times move in those areas for a day or so after a storm in the Metro. Or else they hold tight to the bottom off the first break from where you located them the day before, they cruise that line to eat. These are my findings for Metro lakes in years past.

Good Fishin,
Matt Johnson
