HAHA NO - I don't think either team gives up 6 goals!?!?!?!?!

I think the Wild come back and get this one 4 - 2!

Wild down 1-0 after two. There playing better need a quick goal on the powerplay should be a two man advantage how do you miss the stick to Fedoruks face??? Like I said before Wild thin at D means we actually need Skoula and he's been stepping up he finally woke up and started to hit which is a good sign.

Seams like they have taken a couple bad penalties in the last 2 games. Maybe not bad but just bad freakin' timing, eh? The penalty shot in Game 1 and Johnnson's hooking tonight with less than 2 minutes to play after immediately just scoring the go ahead goal. I know the playoffs are exciting but lets not make it too exciting, OK!

Last 4 games with the Avs have gone to OT. Lets break this trend quick. Who's with me?

Was a good game, just wish I wouldn't have to sit on the edge of my seat for so long!

I thought Johnnson's penalty was a good one, if he does not do that to the guy, he has an open net and the game is tied. Not sure if it was the right call on the refs end, but it was the right thing for Kim to do.

How bout that stick that flew in the Stands I think half the crowd on that side missed the Forseberg goal. I knew they need that powereplay goal early in the third to tie it that was huge. Hopefully they can keep it going and get a split in Colorad or even maybe steal 2 games there. I'm right with you Hanson this overtime stuff is getting to exciting they need to cut those bad timing penalties out and I think they will be ok this series.

Well hopefully we can all let that adrenaline cool off for the weekend cause I have a feeling will be kicking it right back up come Monday.

Great win for the Wild. Although they looked a bit confused as to defensive scheme at times (too much running around) they still pulled it off! Even Skoula had a pretty solid game, he was hitting people pretty good. Got to feel good for Carney, I love to see players like him notch a big game winner because it gives them more confidence and thats what the team will need headed to Colorado!

Seems like every time a Mn team is in a big game were always on the edge of our seats!! LOL

Time to get the adrenaline going again!!!!!! Time for a little road hockey! The way this team goes, My prediction is we will get one of the two games at least. We are a great team on back to back nights of hockey so lets hope it continues! Hopefully the players have enough legs under them especially on Defense!

BRING IT ON - Game 3 @ 9pm on 45!

First game steal would be huge take the pressure off a little in the second game. Work took forever today I am just so pumped to watch some playoff hockey. I am going down to pool 2 right now to burn a couple hours why can't it be 9 o clock so the puck can drop.

I heard that Simon is dressing tonight. More muscle, more hitting. Simon is the kind of guy that will take a run at Forsberg. Make your presence felt Simon, Boogaard, Voros and Fedoruk. Your heavy hitting will take a toll as the series goes on. If we survive the first ten minutes of the 1st period we will be ok. If we survive the first 10 minutes we win 3-1. If not, we lose 4-2.

With the early ice out, how is the curlyleaf pondweed doing?

On the south end...   The big basin, otherwise known as Big Traverse Bay, is ice free.  Zippel Bay and Four Mile Bay are ice free as well.  Everything is shaping up nicely for the MN Fishing Opener on May 11th. With the walleye / sauger season currently closed, most anglers are targeting sturgeon and pike.  Some sturgeon anglers are fishing at the mouth of the Rainy River, but most sturgeon are targeted in Four Mile Bay or the Rainy River.  Hence, pike are the targeted species on the south shore and various bays currently.   Pike fishing this time of year is a unique opportunity, as LOW is border water with Canada, the pike season is open year round. The limit is 3 pike per day with one being able to be more than 40 inches. All fish 30 - 40 inches must be released. Back bays hold pike as they go through the various stages of the spawn.  Deadbait under a bobber, spinners, spoons and shallow diving crankbaits are all viable options.   Four Mile Bay, Bostic Bay and Zippel Bay are all small water and boats of various sizes work well. On the Rainy River...  Great news this week as we learned sturgeon will not be placed on the endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.     The organization had to make a decision by June 30 and listing sturgeon could have ended sturgeon fishing.  Thankfully, after looking at the many success stories across the nation, including LOW and the Rainy River, sturgeon fishing and successful sturgeon management continues.   A good week sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River.  Speaking to some sturgeon aficionados, fishing will actually get even better as water temps rise.     Four Mile Bay at the mouth of the Rainy River near the Wheeler's Point Boat Ramp is still producing good numbers of fish, as are various holes along the 42 miles of navigable Rainy River from the mouth to Birchdale.   The sturgeon season continues through May 15th and resumes again July 1st.   Oct 1 - April 23, Catch and Release April 24 - May 7, Harvest Season May 8 - May 15, Catch and Release May 16 - June 30, Sturgeon Fishing Closed July 1 - Sep 30, Harvest Season If you fish during the sturgeon harvest season and you want to keep a sturgeon, you must purchase a sturgeon tag for $5 prior to fishing.    One sturgeon per calendar year (45 - 50" inclusive, or over 75"). Most sturgeon anglers are either a glob of crawlers or a combo of crawlers and frozen emerald shiners on a sturgeon rig, which is an 18" leader with a 4/0 circle hook combined with a no roll sinker.  Local bait shops have all of the gear and bait. Up at the NW Angle...  A few spots with rotten ice, but as a rule, most of the Angle is showing off open water.  In these parts, most are looking ahead to the MN Fishing Opener.  Based on late ice fishing success, it should be a good one.

Nice fish. I moved to the Sartell area last summer and just thought it was windy like this everyday up here? 🤭

Crazy windy again today.... This is has been the norm this spring. Between the wind and the cold fronts, fishing has been more challenging for me than most years.  Panfish have been moving in and out of the shallows quite a bit. One day they are up in the slop, the next they are out relating to cabbage or the newly sprouting lilly pads.  Today eye guy and I found them in 4-5 ft of water, hanging close to any tree branches that happened to be laying in the water.  Bigger fish were liking a 1/32 head and a Bobby Garland baby shad.   Highlight of the day way this healthy 15incher
