Any Ice thickness updates in the Metro? I was thinking about getting out this weekend, but would like to know before hand before I change any plans.

Most of the small and medium lakes north of the metro are walkable. Be careful that snow did a number on the ice. Good luck and take your time walking out. With these cold temps things shoudl be getting better.

I was out on a small north east metro lake today and the ice was about 5 inches of good ice and about 3 inches of bad slush ice that had hardened all across the lake.
fished was very slow with this weather but for some reason the few crappie bites really ripped the bobbers down. now u see it, now it is 5 feet under the ice bites.
