Well I caught probably 30 tonight but they were all 10-11 inchers so they werent really worth my time. Caught them in 20 feet of water mostly suspended starting just before dark.

Just walked in the door from crappie fishing, it was a pretty good bite from 8:00pm till 12:30am. I started marking fish at 5:00pm, but I did not get a single bite till 8. Then is was pretty good fishing till 12:30ish. I was in 36 ft, and the biters where about 6-14 feet off the bottom, time for bed

Anyone willing to help a guy out? Family is coming up to Breezy Point this weekend and would like to get my wife and little brothers-in-law on a good crappie bite. Not looking for GPS coordinates but a lake suggestion would be appreciated. Email me if you wouldn't mind. Thanks!

Was out on pelican by resort last night and caught over 50. Lots of smaller ones but a few bigger ones too! Stay by resort and stay in 20+ depth. They start biting at dark. Good Luck

We have a cabin on a smaller lake east of Brainerd. Sounds like I should head up. Thanks for the info.

gull river has a steady bite anywhere south of the hwy.210 bridge in 12 fow useing c. minnows and lite jigs . gulp maggots work well on the sunnies as well, most fish bit at 5 to 9 feet down . the bite starts at 9:30 am to 1:pm and then again just before dark .

Was on a small local lake and found the fish stacked up on a weed line just outside a large bay. If you can find green weeds hang on to your pole.

Never tried that area, sounds like a good spot. tonight it sounds like we are going to pillager to do some fishing maybe pick up some tullibees too. I might have to try that end of round one night this week. Good luck when you do get out there, my season has sucked so hope some of you are doing good.

Dawg, have you tried Placid in pillager? I heard there are some nice crappies. I've never fished it but know others that did this past summer and did well. They caught alot of small ones but at times got into some slabs out there.(like 15"ers)

placid has a bite that comes and goes as with a lot of the smaller river lakes. i have done my best there after dark around the culvert going to big water . and north up river heading towards the church campalong the bull rushs. djwood

Or you could try west of the muskrat house downwind of the eagle nest and upstream from the spot where the willow used to hang over the water until the beaver dropped it on the night last year when the moon was out...

I fish the brainerd area and some lakes in the perham area. I really enjoy trying to find big ones. finally found some good ones tonight got 15 between 12 and 14 1/2 and probbably 40 or so smaller ones it was defintatly a solid night on the ice. The bigger fish seemed to be deeper suspended 15 feet off in 27 feet of water.

This past weekend me and my crew landed 29 crappies on a local lake, most of which were small. Fishing in 22 feet of water suspending as much as 10 ft off bottom. Also caught a nice-sized bass.

Had a great day out on the lake today. Between me and my brother we both took home our limits and caught around 60 fish not including ones lost at ice level and misses.
