Whats a good lake in the Plymouth area???

I'm taking an old girlfriend out fishing Wednesday and I'm wondering if anybody knows of a good lake where one can catch alot of small northern or bass around Plymouth. I don't care about getting a trophy( I'll leave that for when I'm out with the boys), I just want to make sure she gets to land a few fish. Will probably be using crankbaits and spinners. Have had some decent luck at Medicine so if I don't hear of anything better I will probably be heading out there. Either way I'm sure there will be plenty of bottle bass in the boat!

I wiuld think about Spurzem. It is a small lake right next to Independence. There are plenty snakes to go around and a bunch of small bass. It it a nice quit place to throw out a bobber and have a few. Just my 2 cents.

We caught some small northerns jigging for craps and sunnies in the SW corner of Medicine the other night, but it was full of ski idiots.

Medicine or Tonka - I was thinking of Grays Bay. Plenty of small pike to go around and some bass to. You can even go back to Libbs lake if you want piece and quiet. Actually caught and released a 38" Ski last year around this time in the middle of Grays Bay.

Thanks for info. I ended up going to Medicine(I'll have to give Spurzem a try next time). First fish was a nice 32-33 inch northern(I left my tape measure at my buddies cabin). Caught it on a yellow spinner on the SW corner weeds. Also got about 5 20-23 inchers and small bass. The girl I brought caught two of the northerns, it was fun watching her catch them. Also had about 4 follows and another big boy that hit right next to the boat and snapped my line - argh! Anybody else use Berkley Vanish line? I just started using it and really like it. This is the first time I had a fish snap this line but I think it was because I only had about a foot of line out when it hit.
