I have heard that Medicine Lake holds some gigantic Northern Pike and I was wondering if any one has had good success there this year. Any other recomendations for big Pike(over ten pounds) in the Metro other than Minnetonka Thanks a lot I would appreciate all the advice I can get.

Hi
Caught and released 37" last year. Friend I took last saturday caught 31" on Medicine. The week before a friend I took out on eagle (maple grove) caught and released 29" and 34". Not monstrous by any means but decent metro fish. Might even get lucky and tie into a muskie on Eagle.

In the last two weeks my boat has landed 29", 30", and 33" northerns on Medicine. Not bad for just going out afterwork during the week. All have been on the northwestern weedline going from the beach back into the bay but its hard to get in there because of the **** waterskiers. I believe they were all caught on spinner baits!
