Weeks Report (several pics)

Nick and I made it out to Chester Woods earlier this week for a quick couple hours in the morning. The fishing was tough before light, but picked up nicely about an hour after sunrise. A glow white Gill Pill (#12) took most of my fish. We never found any of the nicer crappies, but caught several smaller ones. We did manage some very nice bluegills and got a few decent bass too.

Last Friday Andy (crazyice) and I could be found out perch fishing on a lake in our area. Got'em up to 11.25". Waxies, minnow heads, and minnows (both fathead and crappie) took fish for us.

Did a combo trip at Lake Zumbro on Saturday with Cattin in the morning and pannies during the day. Lost one cat after about a 10 second drag peelin' run. Around 9:00 we unveiled the panfish arsenal for the remainder of the day. Eric and I put over 20 crappies on the ice that were over 10" along with a couple dozen nice gills. Many smaller fish to, with a few perch and bass in the mix. Grilled up some cheese brats for lunch. Good fun group of guys fishing together too. Ratso and Gill Pill w/waxie did the damage.

5 of us got skunked on Wed night searching for cats on the Zumbro. Got a little redemption on Thursday icing 2 cats, both @ 25". Nick had another one on for a 10 second battle. Caught a few pannies too.

I know I didn't provide many exact details on this particular report, but the bottom line is that the fish are really snappin' right now, so get out after'em.
