Melissa & Sallie

How are conditions on Melissa or Sallie. I have a wheeler and would like to go out from the public access to tip up fish Northerns.

I've been driving on Melissa for a week now. There are two main trails to follow that allow for easy driving. If you are heading cross country, there are scattered slush pockets. I'm not sure on Sallie, but they are similar bodies of water just not seeing a lot of fishing traffic.

Dont have an ice report for you but on Sallie on New years day " third person report", they were nailing nice sized northerns all day long. Didnt get enough info to tell you where on the lake or what they were using but they had a lot of fun.

I had 10" of clear ice on Sallie a couple of weeks ago, and areas with bad slush. It might have cleared up a bit, but I imagine there is still some slush out there. I haven't seen any vehicle traffic out on Sallie yet, other than sleds and ATVs.
