Christmas day was awesome and so was the next day. I used a chartreuse flutter bug tipped with a charteuse nuggie to haul in all the crappies and sunnies. 25th kept a meal, 26th released everything. I was in 20-22 FOW.

Kodiak, let me know when you would like to get out.

  and an after thought...........even with 6-7 inches there could still be some thinner ice yet. i usually dont venture out deeper then 10 ft early but now that i've gotten older and wiser i need to use a sled or wheeler nowadays and i way prefer about 8-10 inches of ice........but thats just me!!!!!!👍

  thanks bud. i'm kinda committed till after christmas, but after that............besides with no snow on the ice spearchucking would not be good. dem fish get real spooky with shadows!!!!

  Went ice fishing with riverrat316 and I laid the smack down on some big gills!! Thanks to kichler custom rods for the beautiful rod and Slab baits for the 1 inch pink and white zipper minnows as they worked so great. The zipper minnows held up to the abuse of big gils munching on them really well!!

  Checked several lakes 6-7 inches. Wheelers on Dora, I'm sure by next weekend smurf there will be 8+. Only lake with open water was Caribou
