What are you planning on fishing for? The lake does offer some northerns, muskies, bass, sunnie, crappies and tons of carp and bullheads. Try fishing near the creek mouth, it will usually hold some fish.

Good luck, If nothing you can go to Nokomis

The little wing dams under the bicycle bridge by the outflow are good, too. Craler onna bottom right against the concrete on the upstream side.
No muskies left, though - Mr. Special scared 'em all off wink.gif

Fish hiawatha almost daily and its hasnt picked up yet at least not like last year. but when it does pick up expect to catch something every 3 casts i usually use spinner baits, spoons, or raps. As far as using night crawlers, leeches or minnows that is far more productive at this time. you can catch plenty of bull heads and carp right under the bicycle bridge and where the dock used to be.

Fishing can be good there. You can catch bullheads, perch, and gills with crawlers anywhere. Crappies are there, but never have done well, milfoil edge would be best. There are a few big bass, but seems to be a lot of smaller ones. Carp are ther big time if you can get the bait past the bulleheads. Walleyes are there but also hard to catch now because of the bullheads.

I usually target pike there, and have done best with suckers off the pier under a slip bobber, although i have seen a few taken with artis.

Good luck, I haven't made it there yet this year but am thinking of taking my little boat out in the next couple of weeks, since I've only fished from shore and would like to see what can be caugth from a boat.
