Waconia Walleyes

I have had a tough time the last two weekends on Waconia. I am new to the area and heard this was a decent walleye lake. Is that true? If so, any hints either here or at [email protected] would be welcomed. If not a good walleye lake, any others with say 30 miles from Plymouth?

I have been fishing the northern humps and around Pilsbury reef very early till 11:00 am with leeches, minnows, etc. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I am thinking of going out Friday.

Maybe consider buffalo lake, It's been somewhat hit or miss lately but when they are biting it can be great, i'm gonna give it a try tommorow morning hopefully it'll be on the hit and not the miss

You just hit a bad spring, the lake can be and is a good walleye lake. Don't give up!
Fishermann you going out this weekend or what? Maybe we can hook up! Let me know! Might have to go and hit a few lakes for panfish if nothing else!

I may be headed up north this weekend. thinking about going to brainard friday night and fish up there on sat then come home. hey would u be interested in fishing the ottertail tournie? let me know I think it might be fun, we could camp and go cheap.

I'm new to waconia too, but have fished it before. I've had some luck at night around the beach and cemetary reef. Any tips would be great too.

Anyone have any walleye luck this weekend? Still having a challenging time. Lots of bass and crappies, but no walleyes!

Any size to the crappies? Care to offer more info on them? I did well on crappies on Bavaria Friday right off of the weedlines.

One crappie with size, however all others were very small......really fishing for walleyes.
