MISSISSIPPI RIVER RELIEF - BIG RIVER CLEANUP - JUNE 14TH THROUGH 21ST

Mark your calendars! The Mississippi River Relief - Big River
Cleanup has been scheduled for the week of June 14th - 21st.
Volunteers will be needed throughout the week to help pick up litter
from the banks of the Mississippi River from Prescott, Wisconsin to
St. Anthony Falls.

Friends of the Mississippi River is one of several local partners
working to organize this event with the hope of surpassing the 92
tons of garbage removed by 1,100 volunteers during last year's event.

Does anyone know of any Missisippi river clean-up projects happening above the Coon Rapids dam? I would be willing to help. I was also wondering if anyone has any info on where to dispose of garbage that I pick-up out of the water. I would clean wire, tires, trash etc., but I don't want to pay to get rid of it.
