Has any body been fishing Waconia? Heading there tomorrow. Is there still a tourney there Saturday?

I think everyone's lips are sealed because of the tourney on Sunday.

I'm going out to the hospital in Waconia on Friday afternoon on a sales call. Needless to say I'm not coming back into the office afterwards. Am thinking I can swing a few hours of fishing, but will have no boat. Have never fished Waconia. Are there any piers or other good shore fishing spots. Driving by there it seems that the open public spots may be limited. Please tell me if it's worth my time, if not I can always stop by the channel at Tonka. Thanks.

There is really only one pier that I know of, just down the road from the hospital. You can sometimes catch some Craps off there early. Don't know about right now. Otherwise, wading out in front of the beach and casting Raps might work at dusk. Otherwise, its a tough lake without a boat, IMHO.

Call up the Mases in Towne marina, they have boat rental that is pretty reasonable if you want. otherwise the peir is located by Bayview school.

Is the tournament Saturday or Sunday? I am thinking of going out Sat. am, however not if there's a tourney.

Is it easy to get to the public landing via route 5 West? Also, is this a very busy landing, and is it the only public landing (no fee) on the lake? I am thinking of going early Saturday am.

Thanks
