Well didn't have much for bucks or interesting pictures to post.

This one is kinda neat with the hawk looking at the deer crossing by the scap pile

And here's a buck I have many pics of this year. He'll be a nice shooter next year if I get a chance.

Anyone seeing the picture flying around email, with a buck on a Cuddeback trail camera (dated 11/10/07) with nearly the whole shaft of an arrow protruding from its RH front shoulder? Some email pics are hard to tell if it is fake or not. Was just wondering if someone either seen it or could validate the pic. If someone wanted to post it on this site, let me know and I can forward you the pic for the group to see.

I stand corrected, maybe the guy had a 50" draw length

Also, notice the lack of shadow from the arrow. I would have thought there would have been a shadow from the arrow considering the camera angle.

I was hunting out in Sidney this past weekend for my muzzleloader buck.

Well I got him. I'll make a long story short.

First off, Mike kept telling me he saw a buck with an arrow through his head.

I thought he was full of it, but he kept telling me he saw it again.

Saturday evening we saw this buck jumping around going out of control from about 350 yards away.

Mike told me it was probably the one with the arrow in its head.

The buck was with another one that night.

The next morning I sat up in the tree stand and waited, all of a sudden at about 10 minutes after sun up,

There were two bucks that came right to the side of my stand, 30 yards.

I saw the arrow instantly and didn't know what to think.

Anyways, he ended up giving me a shot and I took him.

Looks like the arrow was in there probably at least a couple months or more.

No blood or anything and you could move the arrow.

Now check out the pics!"

The one I posted had the 11/10/07 date on it, I just cropped it off as it had the camera owners name on it as well.

The one through the head looks believable, especially since their appears to be swelling around the exit wound. Funny, being an aluminum arrow that it didnt break off... It must just have been in a position where it never hit anything squarely...

That being said... dang what a headache that poor thing must have had. I would like to hear the hunter explain how he managed to end up with the arrow in that position, if it was just poor shot selection, or some other freak occurrence... Last year, we had a doe running around up here for a while that had an arrow stuck right square in the middle of its forehead....

that's an awesome pic. I don't want to know how the arrow got in that position, but it's interesting that he was still running around with that in it's head. I agree though, what a headache. I thought migraines were bad!!!!!!!!!

There is no way that pics of the big boy is real, that shot is perfect and infact i aim for the exact same place on a deer especially if the deer in quartering away that way the arrowexits in front of the opposite shoulder and goes thru evening important, and of course there is no shadow from the arrow. that doesn't seem right to me.

Without going into a detailed exam of the pic for photoshop clues I'd say the one of the bruiser with the arrow in the shoulder is believable. Looks like if its real the poor person who flung that arrow indeed hit the shoulder blade - although you would think unless the country was fairly open or the pic was taken shortly after the deer got hit with the arrow that it would be broken off with only a broadhead, insert, and short piece of arrow in the deer.

There is no way that arrow would not either have fallen out, or broken off.

It would not of stayed in the deer. Heck, the deer would have pulled it out.

What's interesting in this pic is how much arrow is sticking out, so it doesn't seem real.

Although I've seen pictures of arrows hanging from deer before. Actually another FMer has a picture of a buck with a arrow hanging from him, and another pic taken two weeks later of the same buck "in hand" with the arrow still in him.

Yeah i have pictures of 8 year and a half old bucks that i didnt even post either. I wasnt sure how many i should post. I only had the camera out for 3 weeks and had a blast with it. I'll be buying a few other cameras for next fall.
