Buffalo lake

I think ill be goin down to buffalo lake for the first time in the next week or 2. Where is a safe spot to go out? I saw that the ice is pretty thin in some spots so i was just wondering if there were safer places to go out from. Thanks

Most of the lake is pretty safe. If you go out of hte north end, just follow where everyone else has been going and if you venture off the beaten trail just check the ice with a chisel. The south end is the most consistent.
