Minnewawa Narrows

[Warner's Point]

Fished the narrows on Minnewawa Saturday afternoon. 6 inches of snow, 6 inches of slush, 2 inches of water and only 6 inches of ice. Got skunked, not even a hammer handle. There were plenty of fish on the vex, but with the big high pressure sitting over us they were not very interested. I was the only one out there, but there were plenty of sleds riding by throwing up a wake of slush. I would advise you to stay off the lake unless you walk out. Walking off at sunset I noticed that the snow was steaming, so that tells you that we have a very dangerous situation even with the bitter cold.
