Smith Lake Going Off???

I heard about a little "Honey Hole". Smith Lake, located just southwest of Osakis. Rumor has it, they are catching a lot of walleyes out there on early ice. Not a lot of size, but still could be fun. Does anyone have any info on this??? Thanks!

Careful. Posting a "honey hole" comment on here is a sure way to kill a "honey hole".

Smith is a decent fishing lake that has always held decent fish. It used to have dandy crappies back in the 80's. Smith also has good walleyes, and similar to a few other lakes in the area, this is a great time to fish Smith. Ida is another one to fish early season for walleyes.
