New user here, would like to find out where to fish WBL for crappies? Also is there any size to them? I usually fish Wayzata Bay on Tonka, but a bud lives within shouting distance of WBL. Oh Yeah! Hows the ice on WBL?
Will be out on Tonka Friday evening, yes some nice crappies there. I was in the local bait shop a few years back, they had a 2# 11oz one in a tank waiting to be mounted. Nice fish.
Thanks in advance for any replies, and good fishing.

Welcome aboard...I really enjoy checking the forum every day. I don't participate as much as I could, but enjoy reading about less frequented areas. We have not fished WBL that much this year but the best and most easily accessed area would be out from the VFW by Hwy #61 just before you come into town.
We have been fishing Bald Eagle mostly this year... We have always caught fish although they have not been huge. Agood place to start on BE is out from the public access between the weed bed and the island. The crappies have been in @ 24 feet of water. lots of good places, just look for the people and stay a little away from the crowd.
