Just got back with a limit of real dandy crappies...best fishing I've had all winter!

Also, could someone inform the C.O. that is supposed to patrol the area that there is still a permanent house with a bunch of garbage sitting on the public access. The fine on that one should be pretty hefty! shocked.gif

Hey Hutch-

How deep were you fishing?

Question for ya... do you live in Hutchinson? My brother lives there... good fishing in that area. I'll be exploring it more this summer.

Hey Hutch,

Thanks for the heads up on Hydes. I have been thinking about going there the last couple weeks, but was wondering if anyone has had any luck. Are you thinking of going back out there? I may give it a try on Friday evening. Hopefully the bite is still on.

Thanks again,
visinc

Hey Hutch,
Ditto-Thanks, nice late season tip. I live in Waconia, been meaning to give it a try but never get down that way to see what's going on at Hyde's, Lake Waconia has been good to me lately. I have heard many times that this lake can produce. I hope to make it out there Friday afternoon/evening. See you there Visinc, Hutch, Chester??

Not sure if i can make it Fri. nite, got company coming over(inlaws). Oh yeah, you'll probably need 4X4 if you want to drive out...unless the snow really melts.
They seemed to like the red glow jigs tipped with a fathead the best but they also hit on regular glow hooks. Might have to experiment a little depending on what mood they're in.

I won't be able to make it tomorrow... will be fishing Pool 2. Saturday is an option. Is it more of a night bite out there?

What's the best way to get to Hydes Lake if I'm coming from the Le Sueur area?

Hey Smallmouth,

You made a good choice in going to Waconia, I went out on Saturday afternoon evening it was very slow. There was 3 of us fishing from 4-7p.m. only 5 crappies were caught between the three of us.
How was fishing on Waconia?

Thanks,
Chad

Sorry Chad,

Did not make it to Hydes. I was on Waconia Fri and Sat. Did you or anyone make it out to this lake the past weekend.

Otter,
From Gaylord, take Hwy 5 east to NYA. Then turn north (left) on Hwy 25 (a couple miles past NYA.) There should be public access signs on the right as you get on 25. I think the streeet is 110th but not sure. The access is on the east side of the lake.
