I beleive for the most part we are all in that mode..Next week is suppose to be the begining of the warm up...And then spring fever should kick into high gear,

I for one am not waiting for the warm-up!!! Some of our best ice fishin is yet to be had. Nothin like sitting on the ice in 35 - 45 degree weather nailing the gills and crappies. They are just getting ready to turn on and we have a couple sell outs - just kidding!! I can't wait for the warmer weather, but only to sit in the sun and nail some big gills!!!

I just bought a brand new 1850 sportfish with a 140 Johnson 4 stroke, and I can only think about the ice melting. Is there a way I could melt it faster? Does anyone have a really big magnifying glass? LOL

Neither can I! That boat is calling my name! I allready got a new reel also, I just need to fit it with a rod. I'm thinking Ugly.. but I might go Berkely... And I might get one more light to medium light action to do some stream trout fishing the last two weeks in April when ice is still on the lakes. Anyone ever do anything around the Farmington area for trout opener? There are a number of streams in the area and it would be my first year of actually buying the stamp...

But.. I've got one weekend, maybe two to finish up the ice fishing season. I'm planing on heading out tommorow and possibly sat. Then I might go to the ice cat get together in St. Cloud if it's still on and the weather holds the ice in decent enough shape.

I don't understand why every spring I get so excited about the approach of open water.

I'm like a kid waiting for summer vacation. The closer it gets, the more I am likely to pull the fire alarm and start food fights.

Let's see what's in my lunch today.........

Chicken and noodle soup and some leftover vegetable stir fry............ooooooohhhh and some yogurt.

If I play my cards right I can get in detention with the prom queen.
