Lake Emily

Recommended Posts

Has anybody been out on Emily lately or over the summer months. I was thinking about trying it this weekend for the first time in a couple years but heard that a combination of low water clarity and a partial winter kill has pretty much stopped all fishing activity on the lake. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

if by partial winter kill you mean all the pigs hauling walleyes off the lake day after day ice fishing last winter; then yeah i guess it was a winter kill; we had a good bite going in may for walleyes; the key to that lake is find the gravel line. find where the gravel turns to mud and thats where you'll find active walleyes. if you go this fall watch out for duck decoys; theres fair amount of hunting on the lake later in the season.
