Minn Kota Powerdrive vs. Powerdrive V2

Aside from the different foot control, anybody know of other differences between the new and old Powerdrive models?

I've looked for info on the Powerdrive PD70, all I can find is specs on the V2's.

I was under the impression they didn't make original powerdrives any more. Only terova and v2.

I have a new (non V2) PD70 that I got from a buddy, intended to put on a used boat. Not going to use it now, new boat came with a V2.

I called Johnson Outdoors this morning. Other than the redesigned foot control, the V2 has a redesigned stow and deploy and a digital voltage control board that is smoother and conserves juice better than the original.

I think that Universal Sonar 2 is only available on the V2's as well.
