Grand Rapids Winnie fishing report

Wow this heat is getting unbearable, but if you are out on the lake with some wind it is almost tolerable. We have had some wind the past few days and the fishing has been pretty decent. We have been on winnie with the fishing moving up to the shallow rock points and weed flats. I have seen people catching them on rigs with crawlers and leeches, spinners and a leech, cranking with a rapala and we were using jig and minnow. With the jig we were getting perch, walleye and northern so we have been having lots of action.

Also we have been on Sand and Bowstring with fish also being caught on the weed lines or just off of them. Pokegama and Ballclub are also producing the northerns. Jigging with a nice shiner or a sucker seems to work the best for these fish.
