What the heck? I've had one hit on a rattle trap and have tried everything for bass at that confluence. Oh, not live bait. Is there any plastic or crankbait that's working for people down there? I'm looking for bass. I've read in several places that it's a great place for bass. I live so close and would love to fish there often if I knew any secrets.

My best bait down there has always been a 3 inch sassy shad on a 1/4 oz chartruse jig.

Just cast it out and bounce it off the bottom on your retrieve. Either that or a fat head or shiner on the same jig will work but you'll get more rough fish. The sassy shad will get you mostly bass and walleye.

Do you see anyone else catching anything lately? I haven't been down in awhile.

Thank you. I was down on Monday and saw a very small walleye pulled in. I rarely see fish caught down there, but I do see a lot of guys fighting and losing cats.

I agree with Nofish about the sassy shad deal, but I'd also suggest throwing a #2 or #3 spinner. In the current, they ride up high over the rocks. The smallies are often right up in the shoreline boulders. Also, if you're fishing from shore, you have to cover some ground! Pack light and keep moving until you find fish!
