long point reports

Anybody have reorts from the Long point area? Are jigs & shinners still working or has it switched to spinners and drifting any Info. would be great. thanks

Welcome to FM.......A couple different guys I know were over there this past weekend. One used jigs, and the other pulled/drifted spinners. They both told me the fishing was great. The "bite" appears to have started. I would start with spinners in different depths. Once you find them, you could keep drifting over them, or anchor and jig. If pulling cranks is your thing, that should be working pretty good now too. In case you didn't see it, we're having a little FM get-together in Warroad on Saturday. Any new reports? I've always fished later in the season cathing the downrigger bite, just wondering what works well this time of the year?
