  2. Excellent shape and it's a Henry-smooth action, 25 rounds through it, 2 boxes of ammo included, hard to find model, asking $350.
  3. Hard to find model, 5" barrel and two tone, really nice shape, one box of ammo through it, need to have ptp, asking $1200.
  4. We have 4 AKC GSP puppies left for sale that are ready for their new homes. Pedigrees Available. Great family dogs and hunting dogs. Born on 8/2/21. Call or text me for pictures or if you have any questions!. 320 808 4541
  5. I have lots of boxes of 12g Federal / Winchester 7.5/8shot lead trap loads, but have recently picked up a 20g OU and can't find any ammo for Wednesday night trap nights. Let me know if you'd be willing to swap a box (or more) of 12g for similar 20g loads. My ammo is stored in ammo cans indoors with desiccant packs, and all relatively new, (1-2 years) my supply is constantly being refreshed. Apple Valley / Lakeville area.

    Lab puppy

I just had to put my 13 yr old black lab down last week. I'm looking to get a new puppy. Would like a female, but not opposed to a male. I'm getting up in age-63, so, it'll be more of a fishing dog than a hunting dog. I'll probably go chasing roosters and grouse less than 10 times per year. Want something under 70lbs. Hopefully something with British lines. Under $1000.00. Anybody know someone with a litter? Thanks
  7. I was drawn for the 2021 bear lottery but can't hunt this year due to a medical procedure. Do I lose my preference points for next year, or does it stay the same or do I get another point?
  8. Scouting through the woods I found a very old and definitely abandoned deer stand. They are everywhere. I usually like to poke around the old ones to see what might have been left behind. I found this old coffee can with wire woven into the bottom. I've never been a hunter but am assuming that this was a home-made "stove" for keeping warm on a cold fall day. However, I'm far from an expert so I leave it to the internet. What is this?
  9. Who's ready to turkey hunt? Season A starts in less than a month. I think I'm going to go during season B this year to avoid the initial wave of hunting pressure. I went during season A last year and there was noticeably more hunting pressure in the area. I think it was because of the pandemic and people were kinda cooped up, plus it was the first year they lifted the lottery.
  10. I have boxes of 40 cal HST rounds 50 per box and I am trying to figure out what I should charge from them?
  11. Anyone care to share how their season went? This was my first season waterfowl hunting in southern Minnesota, and so far I'm eating license and stamp soup! I started out jump shooting along river beds, and then picked up a dozen mallard decoys and went out on the Mississippi with my canoe. Saw a lot of birds early in the season, but they got few and far between pretty quick. I've been geese hunting public fields as well with two dozen silhouettes, but the geese seem to have moved south as well. Maybe this storm tonight will bring in some fresh birds. I'm telling myself I made all my mistakes t

    Hide dropoff

Where are people taking hides these days? I haven't seen hides for habitat dropoffs this year.
  13. Good luck every this weekend!!

    Grey Wolf Delisting

It appears the US Fish and Wildlife Service is in the press of removing the Grey Wolf from the Endangered and Threatened lists. After waiting period they will be delisted on January 4th 2021.
  15. This season got off to a slow start after my son got his first ever bird on his first youth opener. Parker's first shot at a duck or goose got him a ten pound Canada goose. Early regular season netted a few bluewing teal, wood ducks, and a mallard, but we weren't seeing as many birds in central MN as we usually do early in the season. With the cold fronts and even some snow lately, things have picked up with us decoying mallards, pintails, greenwing teal, shovelers, canvasbacks, ringnecks, redheads, and bluebills. Worried about an early freeze up with the current weather and forecasted weather
  16. Heading up this week to chase birds and wondering if the leaves are mostly down? Thank you for the info.
  17. Not sure if anyone else saw this but the statewide pheasant report was released by the DNR yesterday and its up 42% statewide. Its the highest numbers in over a decade. A mostly mild winter and a dry spring likely accounted for lower mortality and a good hatch. There will be no shortage of birds...or hunters. https://files.dnr.state.mn.us/recreation/hunting/pheasant/prospect_map.pdf
  18. I have a new Ruger GP100 6" barrel and I'm looking for the best cartridge for deer hunting? Max distance would be 30 - 40 yards

    Camp Ripley 2020.

Just heads up, if you haven't already heard. Camp Ripley youth hunt has been cancelled for 2020. Public hunts will not have a lottery, information and purchase dates will be released in August. This allows for a easier cancelation of the hunts. Thanks Covid.
  20. I can’t find varmint loads any where, Any help?
  21. which Bait is best for rainbow and brown trout
  22. Had this moose come cruising into my yard 1 mile south of Grand Rapids last night. Stayed 45 minutes. VID_20200512_200823184.mp4
