How’s the bass fishing this year? Weeds? Water clarity? -
I am going to try to access pug hole lake from roosevelt lake with my canoe. The 1978 fishing report marked multiple 15-20 lb pike. Has anyone been back there and is there a better access?

Anyone been into trout yet. Thinking about going Tuesday. Wondering how the walking is. I would think after the warm temps this weekend it should add a nice crust to walk on top of. -
2020 Lake of the Woods Fishing Reports & Info
LakeofthewoodsMN replied to Rick's topic in Lake of the Woods Fishing Reports - Hunting - Events
This past week, MN Governor Tim Walz began allowing resorts and hotels to open with numerous guidelines for safety. Many Lake of the Woods resorts and hotels are welcoming guests back. Properties are taking a variety of safety measures in many aspects of their businesses to ensure guest and employee safety. The US and Canada have agreed to keep the international border shut until May 20th. Residents of the NW Angle and necessary supplies can travel across, others including visitors and land owners for the time being cannot. Some resorts are offering transport service via boa -

Bass on O'Dowd
Well_Read_Redneck posted a topic in MN Twin Cities Metro Area Fishing Reports - Hunting
The Largemouths have been biting more and more on Lake O'dowd in Shakopee. I landed this dude at around 8:30 last night in about 4-7 feet of water using a Berkley plastic worm on a Texas Rig. Lots of fun catching him from my kayak The ruler is a little blurry, but I marked him at right around 17 inches. -

Hi everyone. I am brand new to the forums and am wondering if anyone has any fishing reports and/or tips for Lake Inguadona? I will be fishing this lake during the last week of June with my son and father-in-law and don't know much about the lake. It looks like it is stocked with walleyes every other year and there are smaller than normal limits on crappies and sunfish...other than that I haven't found much info besides lake maps, etc. Any tips/tricks or information on fishing Inguadona would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

On the south end... An incredible week of catching walleyes on Lake of the Woods. A few patterns this week. Some walleyes are shallow, 4-10' of water being caught with crawler harnesses and crankbaits. Anglers are still anchored up on or near structure with a jig and frozen shiner or leech in 15-30'. Others drifting crawler harnesses in 23-28' with good success. Gold / pink / orange / yellow / gold or combo of these colors still working well. Lots of eaters with larger slot and trophy walleyes being caught. Some big pike showing up in shallow water this week. On the Rainy Rive -
Hi Everyone. I just got back from 5 days on Lake Vermilion and the fishing for me was very good. I primarily fish walleyes, but I managed to catch a few nice small mouth as well. I marked on the Helix fish in the 18-23 ft area in the mud, and so tried to use lead core and met with limited success. Not as much luck compared to previous years. But I did always scratch out a few. The mayfly hatch is on, and this may have affected my luck during the day. Between crushing heat to stormy weather with large temp variations I think I did very well. And the wind during the day was brutal. I ma

On the south end... An excellent week of walleye fishing. Great to have charter boats running again. Best success in 13-28 feet of water. Anchored up and vertical jigging on structure areas very effective. Drifting or trolling crawler harnesses effective this week on flats or basin areas. Spinners cover water when fish are spread out and not stacked. Gold / pink / orange / glow all working well. Most anglers catching limits of eaters. Larger walleyes are also being caught in good numbers. Nice pike and jumbo being caught while walleye fishing. On the Rainy River... Most wa -
Big Pine Fishing Reports
fishing4fun posted a topic in Alexandria-Miltona-Ottertail-Battle Lake-Perham-Fergus Falls Area Fishing Reports - Hunting
I'm going to be on Big Pine for the first time ever over Memorial Weekend. I'll be up with wife and kids, just hanging at a friends cabin. My fiend has no boat, so I'm pulling mine up. So just wondering if there are any dangerous areas. Don't want to wreck my prop on maden voyage. And also wandering what the walleyes are doing on a lake like this. Is it a fairly clear body of water, or stained. Can I catch fish during the day or only low light times. Any info, would be nice. I don't want your secret spots just some general info. Even panfish info for the kids, although my kids can catch walley- 23 replies

I'm heading up to Vermilion Dam Lodge June 20th in Minnesota for a week. I have never been there and I don't have a whole lot of walleye experience besides fishing in Ontario using a jig with minnow or leech one week a year. How should I plan to fish that time of year? Is a jig and minnow or leech a good plan? I do have some bottom bouncers and lindy rigs I could get out. Really appreciate any advice. I could also troll cranks if need be.

Wow did the walleye bite turn on!!!! Edges of the weeds pulling a plain Lindy with a leech was the ticket. shortened to 4 foot to keep leech from weeds helped. This fish measured 30.0 on a FM Walleyes Unlimited board. Girlfriend didn't want to mount it so after a while we got it revived and it took off for the weeds. Best part this lake isn't even managed for walleyes!

Word is last Thursday evening 2 boat trailers stolen for parking lot. That's why I do not fish the lake anymore they either break into your car or now steal your boat trailer. I always have a lock on mine that's a no brainer. Also a guy from work said he knows someone that was waiting for a friend to come get her at the access and saw some punks looking in cars in the lot. She walked toward the parking lot and they got the heck out of there. So beware people...................................

Going to lake vermillion for the first time. June 13. Staying near Arrow Head Point, Isle of Pines. Only have a small boat with 15 HP so looking for some tips for where to go for big pike that is reasonably close given my boat. I do not mind a drive, but I know how conditions can get on big water. I also plan to go to Trout Lake (reason for bringing the small boat) If anyone has tips on Trout Lake for Pike. Thanks and #tightlines!
