What are tricks to catch late-fall bass? What lures or bait is good?

lipless cranks.  Rapala clacking rap is what I throw.  Cover water, when you find them, you should find a mother load.  Fall fishing can be fantastic.  I like to fish mid depths right around where the docks were.  Most docks will have been removed by now.  I've had 20-30 bass days catching them one after the other.   Cant catch them from the couch.
