The Illinois River is starting to cool. We had a 5 degree drop in the water temps from last week at Starved Rock. Water is now 55 degrees. Waiting for that special temp somewhere betwen 50-53 degrees when the saugers start there feed for the winter.

White bass have been good early in the morning and when the current is running good by the dam. There also doing good down stream from the dam during the day. With the cool nights we are only days away from to great fall bite on the river.
