Finally made it down to the river on sat. night and it was a great trip got to see two deer swim across the river and climb up a vertical mud bank with no effort at all. we also caught five flatties rangining fron 7lbs to 14lbs out of a creek were the dirty water hits the river. Seen alot of people fishing and heard of a 47lber being caught saturday night. can't wait to head back to the river even if does rain all night the way I see it if the fish can get wet so can I.

It sure is a long haul down their and back, but it is sure to be worth it. I gave it a rest for this weekend. I went to Anoka/Champlain area from shore and got skunked. It sure was nice driving the Lincoln t-car instead of Expedition (fuel econ) and being home in a half hour. Good luck!
